This private stud farm, offering full and short term boarding of bloodstock, is owned by John O’Connor & wife Anne Marie (nee: O’Meara). The farm provides a personal service with regular updates to owners. Visiting horses are monitored carefully in conjunction with expert support from our expert veterinary surgeon and farrier.

Bought in 2007, the 87 acre (35+ Hectare) farm is of limestone land situated in the Blackwater Valley and is near many of the leading stallion stations. Mares can be “walked in” to stallions for covering at most thoroughbred stud farms throughout Ireland. Situated near Fermoy the farm is close to Rathbarry, Castlehyde, Grange and Coolmore studs. Our new American style barn houses generous boxes which are ideal for foaling mares and stabling mares and foals.

We have experience in stud work, sales, general farming and horse husbandry. Anne Marie’s experience includes working as equine veterinary nurse and surgical technician for Ned Gowing MRCVS, Kildare, Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Kentucky and for Newhaven Park Stud in Australia. Anne Marie also over the years has completed the Thoroughbred Breeding & Management Course at the Irish National Stud, her BHSAI and ICES (Irish certificate in Equitation Science), and worked for many years in the office and at sales for Rathbarry Stud. This experience along with a love for horses ensures that we guarantee a high standard of care for your horses.
